If you let me, I will sleep in a Kimonos. Mostly worn as a summer trend but if you are like me and do not care about fashion rules, you can wear it all year round. I feel a little more confident whenever I wear a Kimono – should it because of the superhero vibes it gives me…. who knows?
It is a perfect cover-up and at the same time, it is perfect to show off the clothing you are wearing underneath! The trend is bohemian, chic and very versatile. In fact, it’s the most versatile piece of clothing in my opinion and it is very easy to style. So fear not, my friend. Just throw it on a jeans, shorts, bikini, skirt, and top, dress, or a jumpsuit like I did in my outfit. Not only do they look great on everyone, but also you can find many that are one-of-a-kind. They go well with flats, heels, sandals, boots, and sneakers. Just slay that piece girl!
It was love at first sight… I got it from max, I usually don’t shop from Max because of their low-quality fabrics but I saw they were doing sales and as per usual I couldn’t resist the sale, walked in and walked out with a bag full of clothes and a big hole in my account. surprisingly, they had fine styles and good fabric that day. The layered sleeves caught my attention and I knew I had to buy it. The Kimono acts as the stand-out piece of the look.
My shoe, my favorite shoe at the moment is from New Look… I love any gladiator – ropes inspired shoe or sandals. It just adds a certain kind of vibe to the outfit. I bought it on sale also.
My bag is from Splash. At the moment, I am obsessed with teeny tiny Thumbelina mini bags. I love the color of this bags and the patches. Patches have been a big trend in the past year and I am certain the trend will continue this year. You can style this purse from classy, to chic and casual.
The jumpsuit is from Zara. And I love it. I have styled it in a million different ways. It is very comfy, it has an adjustable lace behind to make it loosed or tight. I styled it in 3 different ways for this shoot and I will share a post soon. So, stayed tuned!
Are you still loving the kimono trend as much as I do? What are your favorite ways to wear it? 🙂
