There have been a lot of new readers around here lately. Welcome to the Tribe boo! 😘😘😘
So for those of you who don’t know me yet, and those of you who think you do, I thought it will be fun to try out the get to know me tag hoping this helps you get to know me a little more personally, so I don’t just seem like another random person you follow on the internet.
I personally love reading these type of posts, so I hope you enjoy finding out some new facts about yours truly! If you read something you said ‘omg me too’, let me know and also leave a comment about how you came across my blog & introduce yourself! Thank you.
Let’s get started, shall we?
Here are 10 things you might not know about me! I picked the ‘get to know me tag’ questions randomly from different bloggers.
1. If you could give your younger self any advice what would it be?
Be more confident in yourself, you’re beautiful the just the way you are; I had a low self esteem growing up – story for another day!. Focus on your strengths, not your weaknesses. Discipline over motivation because discipline is what gets things done. So cultivate the skill of discipline. And lastly, everything happens for a reason.
2. Who has left the most impact on your life?
Hmmm… Not who but what. A book. ‘Understanding your potential’ by Myles Monroe. I stumbled on this book in my dads Library years ago and it changed my life. For the very first time I began to realize, in a profound way that, we are capable of much more than we can ever imagine and God has deposited a reservoir of potential in us to achieve anything we set our mind to despite any kind of limitation. I have talked about this book severally on the blog. I did a series here; you can check it out if you need a little motivation.
Just 2 days back I was holding the sequel of the book ‘maximizing your potential’ and Morris asked how many years will it take to finish reading that book 😂😂. I said this is like the 3rd time I am reading it over. It keeps me motivated.
3. What countries have you visited?
So far, so good! I am Nigerian, born and bred – so I guess Nigeria doesn’t count. I went to school in Mauritius (beautiful Island) and I currently live in Dubai, UAE with one half of my family. Although the question is what countries have you ‘visited’ – I can categorically tell you that I have lived in all three 😬😂😂.
4. A valuable lesson you’ve learned?
Never expect any thing from any one because expectations hurt!
I’m a very practical human. If you say Tega I am going to give you $100k, I don’t expect it – I do not start planning anything around that money till I get it.
I rather live my life experiencing it as it happens? So I don’t have expectations; I just experience things as they unfold. If you give me the money o well! If you don’t then I do not get hurt or disappointed because I wasn’t expecting it in the first place.
5. What is your name
People of the world, My names are Tega Enai Etatuvie. Yes, Enai is not my surname, neither is it my middle name. Enai is my dad’s middle name and my siblings and I thought it is only right to answer our father’s name instead of our grandfather’s name – and just like that we became Morris Enai, Tega Enai, Samiejay Enai and Urhi Enai. Luckily for me, I am the only one that has Enai in my birth certificate 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽
Crazy thing is when I meet people, they ask me what is your real name? And I’m like dude… this is my real name! 🙄🙄🙄 Very conc Uhrobo names for that matter. 😂😂😂
The full name is Oghenetega.
Meaning: God is worthy to be served
Pronounced: Ta /tei/ as pronounced in ‘Table, Tape’ and not Te as pronounced in ‘Testimony’ and ga /ɡə/ – /teiɡə/
Enai: (Biko, Don’t ask me for the full name 😂😂😂)
Meaning: Wisdom of God or something 🙈🙈🙈
And my middle name is Emobo-ovogho aka vogho: don’t bite your gum trying to pronounce it.
Meaning: I have respect for what I have
Congratulations! You just got schooled on how to pronounce my names. I have heard my names crucified and murdered a million times so don’t blame me. It is not that complicated. 😤😤😂😂

P:S – I took this pictures at an abandoned plane site in umm al quwain. Umm al quwain is one of the Emirates in the United Arab Emirates. It was so much fun shooting this pictures with @nad.kahn. He DMed me on IG about a year ago and asked if I would love a photo shoot. But because I was working in Abu Dhabi at the time coupled with school and his own work schedule we couldn’t make out time. But alas…
Of course I jumped at the offer – I always want a photo shoot. Besides I have always wanted to visit the air plane site. We got there and saw a no photographs allowed sign; imagine our disappointment.
But we said screw it! we couldn’t have driven almost an hour away from Dubai and not take any picture besides its a dead zone nobody might come.
We decided to take our chances, the worse they would have done was to fine us. But luckily for us, we did all we wanted with only interruption from other fascinated ‘tourists’ like us. We just had a different agenda.
I was in a fix for the best outfit for the location. I wanted a chic, boss lady like outfit initially, after searching hours on the internet for aeroplane photo shoot inspiration, I got some ideas but I also had to ask him what concept is he had in mind. Long story short. we agreed for 2 different outfits and viola!
It was more than just the photo shoot for me, It felt like a road trip and I got to visit another Emirate.
What do you think about the pictures? He said I need to learn about facial expressions 😂😂😂.
