my weightloss journey

This post is long over due. So finally here it is. I have tried loosing at most 15kg/33Ibs  (my weight loss goal) for as long as i can remember. I was born with this frame and watched it me transition from chubby to THICK with tendencies of adding even more weight. Believe you me! it’s not been easy maintaining my weight coupled with the fact that i am basic FOODIE, the struggle is real. Literally, I can eat to save the world! As regards, I’ve always picked up a workout routine and diet program which I abandon almost as soon as I start. I have paid for different ebooks, joined different challenges and what not. But its been am an epic FAIL.

Let’s face it, there are many as guilty as I am that’s constantly struggling with commitment and finds it very difficult to stay in track.

So I have decided to start a fresh journey as part of my New year Month resolution and I am not giving up this time around because I have you all to be accountable to feel certitude and hope.  Through my weight loss routine fails,  I have learnt that one good, simple, reasonable, realistic and healthy habit at a time would lead me to achieving my goal.

But don’t get me wrong! I love me the way I am, I am beautifully and wonderfully made, But who doesn’t want a perfect body? Doing this is not a do or die affair for me, at least that’s what I tell myself. So am on this journey for the following reasons:

Health: My BMI (Body Mass Index) based on my current weight and height indicates that am overweight even if I don’t look it. And an unhealthy weight increases the risk of diseases.

Body Type: I have a pear body shape in which I tend to store fat more in my tummy. Hence, I have a big tummy which is my biggest issue and my main objective in this this journey. Gain those ABs!

Securing the future: Being that some woman gain a whole lot of weight during pregnancy which is most likely gonna be my case, am trying to avoid adding say an extra 10kg to my current weight when pregnant. So I rather loose 10kg now, probably gain it while pregnant and voila! Am back to my current weight which I am comfortable with.

I plan on updating my progress every week (Wednesdays) to give me a sense of accountability of this new fitness journey. Also, i would be sharing diet plans, my fitness routine and other things we need to know about weigh lost. Feel free to join me! If we share a common goal and want progress not perfection, leave your comments below and let me know your weekly fitness routine/goal and accomplishment and we can conquer unhealthiness together.
