If you’re anything like me, you love scarves both as an accessory to add some visual flair to your hair and the simplest solution for bad hair days since the bobby pin. Headscarf is one of this season’s hottest accessory, the best part is you don’t have to own a number of headscarves except you want to. While it may seem like a daunting task to transform a scarf into a beautiful new ‘do, it takes little to no effort to style them differently to give your outfit a chic and retro vibe. All you need to do is twist, wrap and knot till you get your preferred style.
Whether you’re protecting your hair, or having a bad hair day and want to take advantage of the scarf’s moment, here are a few fun and summery ways to style the hair scarf.
1. The Bow
2. The Turban
3. Rosetta Turban
If you’re feeling a little bit retro and need to add volume you should go for the Rosetta. I made the bun around a top to get a defined look. otherwise you could just twist the edge of the scarf around.
4. Chic Pirate
5. Retro Bow-twist
You start off with a large rectangular scarf and twist around tightly, tie edges similar to a bow, and that’s it.
6. The Hairband
All you need to do is fold the scarf and wrap around your hair like a band.
You could always wrap your hair around for a simple and classic look. The trick is to style your hair to one side and wrap a scarf around it.
