With the New Year comes new responsibilities and new opportunities and I’m ready to take them dead on. In my previous post, I shared how to stick to your 2017 resolutions & goals – I felt need to share some blog goals that’ll help you grow your blog to where you want it to be by the end of 2017.

50 blog goals you should set to grow your blog

We would all agree that blogging is not child’s play contrary to what most people think. Blogging requires a lot of work and planning. At times, it’s exhausting and disappointing because there’s no visible progress. This year has thought me the importance of setting goals and blogging goals shouldn’t be left out because – first and most importantly it gives the drive and a sense of direction to what you aim to achieve and you can measure your progress while at it. Secondly, creating and monitoring various goals for your blog is one of the most effective, efficient, and interesting ways of improving your blog.

Below is a list of 50 different blogging goals of which I have made a good number my personal blog goals. God help me and us all! Choose the ones that you think will improve your blog and I’m certain you’d meet up to them. We’ll be back at the end of 2017 to discuss your achievements. Most of all, remember to make your goals SMART. A S.M.A.R.T. goal is defined as one that is specific, measurable, achievable, results-focused, and time-bound.

  1. I see most of my blog goals are here honestly
I am definitely going to do better than 2016.God willing
I have done my share of investing on my blog and looking to widen my layout.Thank you for this post

  2. Blogging isn’t easy! Like I literally spent the whole day working on my last post of the year. Had to do a lot of linking back and stuff. This post is everything and I won’t be selfish lol. Going to share it once I’m done commenting. I see a lot of goals I planned to include and many more I forgot about. Bookmarking this page right now! Hope you had a great year.
    A Retrospective Account of 2016!

    • We bloggers deserve an award for the time and effort we put to our blogs really. Well, my year was just there tbh. But I’m certain 2017 will be a better year. No doubts! Thanks sweetie.

  3. Wow! These are great goals/tips. I’m not even doing up to half. Blogging is definitely not as easy as an outsider may think. When I realized how just writing one blog post used to take so much energy from me, my respect for consistent bloggers peaked. There’ll be growth tho. I’m hopeful.

    • I literally spend almost 6 hours writing a blog posts. And I’m struggling to be constituent. So like you said, kudos to consistent bloggers because blogging is a full time job.

  4. This is a great and helpful list, some of them I’m doing, some I’m not…with regards to my blog, I want to move in a slightly new direction and I’m laying the groundwork for that so we’ll see if it materialises. Anyhoo, wishin you a HAPPY NEW YEAR and a great start to 2017!! ((( :

  5. Actually, I think the first goal is to have fun while blogging. Sometimes, we get so caught up in the numbers (likes, subscribers, comments, page views) that we forget the main reason why we started in the first place – Inspire/Impact people. Because we are trying to keep up with the numbers, we burnt out fast. Regardless, those are great goals.

    • You very right simi. Having fun is the ultimate goal but then the numbers keeps you motivated. I mean as much as I wanna have fun I want to see the fruits of my labour. Thanks dear

  6. Blogging is really not child play and you listed out most of my goals. I want to blog more, collaborate more, change template, get a domain name and yes to replying to every comment of course finding new blogs.

    Princess Audu

  7. Let me start by saying, you blog look and feel is AWESOMATIC 👏👏, my first time here tho, and I would keep coming. Those blog goals are really something, I want to get a domain name, change my blog theme e.t.c, am new in blogging (four months tho) , but everything seems stressful and techy 😔

    • Yes dear, you need to put them down in writing. If possible paste it somewhere you’d see it every morning when you wake up. Social book marking sites are like directory sites that you can share your post. I use digg, scoop it, delicious etc. You could just check online to find more.

  8. Thank God I discovered your blog. Read a couple of posts this last hour, and just like this post, they’ve all been very useful. Now you’re making to have to redefine this whole blogging thing I’ve been about.
