How to style your crochet braids

8 cute & easy ways to style your crochet braids

Hello beautiful people, it’s me again … Obviously! Missed me??? Yea. I thought so too.

Crochet braids is one of the protective hairstyles for naturalists. I love that they’re very multi functional and versatile although has tendency to frizzy quickly.  Amazing thing is it takes less than 2-3 hours to look vava voom. Mine is a DIY wig and took me about 4 hours to make because that was my first attempt. If you’re a ‘bigger is better’ girl like me, you should totally go for crochets braids to achieve that voluminous look.

Crochet braids is a classic, It has endless amounts of styling options. You can experiment with length, color, textures, and you can also curl your crochet braids using bendy rollers, or just twisting it into big sections and using thread to twist it. The original idea is for you to have a style that causes no stress and damage to your hair or just make it into a wig like I did. So if you’ve ever wanted to play around with various style, crochet braids give you the perfect opportunity to create the look.

Personally, I love hair styles I can style/pack differently; it gives me a sense of non wasted investment – the weave or attachment purchased and value for my time – time used in installing the braids or making the wig, effort – the pain I had to go through especially the back and neck ache I got after making the wig and money – the money I’d pay the hairstylist if I were to install it on my hair.
I’m sure we can all relate to this abi?

That being said, I do think every woman – at least once in her life time – needs to try out a crochet hairstyle. Add to the fact that you get to experiment with a different looks and sizes with little or no damage to your hair is a win win.

Hope these looks inspire you to have fun with crochet braids a little more – especially since you can style it a million different ways. Perfect hair for naturalists!

To achieve this looks, you’d need bobby pins, hair clips, hair bands, edge control (gel).

I thought it will be fun to name the different looks based on my facial expression and hair style.
